The rating system that I go by for my anime series consists of aesthetics (my standard of aesthetics), story (my standard of a story), and my satisfaction from the anime series.
Terms/Words:
Anime: Japanese animation
Manga: Japanese comics/graphic novels
Otaku: A Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and videogames.
Moe: A Japanese slang term that can mean many things in the world of anime and manga, but is mostly used to describe something super cute. Moe is also used to refer to fetishes (usually used to describe people who have really obsessive fetishes) for example “girl-glasses moe” refers to a person who has a fetish for girls who wear glasses.
Yuri: A Japanese jargon term for content and a genre involving love between two women (Lesbians) in manga, anime, and related Japanese media.
Yaoi: A Japanese Jargon term for content and a genre involving love between two men (Gays) in manga, anime, and related Japanese media.
