Yomiko’s powers let her control paper at her will. If she wants paper to become as sharp as a sword or even turn paper into a sword, she can do it. If she wants paper to grab onto something or stick to something, Yomiko can do it. The other people in the series are really not that impressive. Nancy (Yomiko’s partner) can pass through solid objects which is a cool power, but it’s been done before in other anime series. And Drake is just an ordinary, but really good mercenary. R.O.D actions scenes are really good too especially when the action scenes involve Yomiko’s paper powers. The forms that Yomiko makes paper take during action sequences are not only very unique, but also clever. And now that think about it, I think the actions scenes in this anime are some of the best action scenes I have ever seen because of Yomiko’s powers. Of course this brings up an good question about the sequel to R.O.D; why is the sequel so bad.
